How do you make an improper fraction into a mixeed number?

For ex. 5/3. All you got to do is see how many times the denominator and go to the numerator. In this case 1 time. So the whole number for the mixed number is 1. Than all you got to figure out is what's left over. In this case 2. Because we already took 3 away. After that you just take your normal demoninator you first come up which is 3. So the final result is 1 and 2/3. (1 2/3)
