Awk period question... girls?

the other day i got up for school and while i was brushing my teeth i felt this kinda gushing feeling in my lady area lol (kinda gross sorry) anyway i finished brushing my teeth and sat down on the toilet... my pj shorts were wet and there was a little pink spot in my underwear. i put in a liner for just incase it was a lot of discharge or my period because i was not sure. i got home at the end of the day and the only thing on the pad was a very light pink spot. i put in another one for bed and when i woke up the next morning there was nothing there and i havent had anything like it sense. ive had discharge for a year or two, not sure, and cramps + kinda tender lately. could this have been my first period?
